Trading with Sri Lanka
The YRCL customs compliance has identified that the Commission will be conducting an investigation into human rights issues in Sri Lanka. Should the investigation establish that Sri Lanka has violated core conventions on human/political rights etc, it is likely that GSP plus status will be withdrawn. Unofficial estimates suggest that the investigation will take in the region of twelve months - we understand that Sri Lanka will retain GSP plus during this period.
